OK. This will be the last polenta recipe this year. Maybe. I can't be sure.
This cake is fantastic. I gave it as a gift and forgot to take a picture. Sorry. But you should totally make it. It's sweet with a little crunch and full of lemon and almond flavor. I just love it. It tastes even better Day 2 after the flavors have had a bit to settle. If I had to change one thing, I would maybe use less sugar next time, maybe 1/2 to 3/4 cups, but that's it. And I didn't make the syrup, but I'm sure it's good, too.
